 WHAT
IS VEDIC ASTROLOGY
Vedic Astrology is known in Sanskrit as
JYOTISH, which literally means Light of Lord (Jyoti = Light and Ish =
Lord,) which is very apt for this science.
Vedic Astrology is very
traditional Astrology of India. Practice of Vedic Astrology Goes back
several thousands of years to the Ancient Vedic Culture, in what is to
US prehistoric times, before 3000 B.C. It is based on the Vedas. The
original Scriptures of India. In present time there is a resurgence of
interest in the West towards the Spiritual Sciences, of which Vedic, or
Indian and Astrology is most prominent. Vedic Astrology is not only
extremely Accurate in helping an individual to understand what his or
her future will be during this lifetime, but gives an understanding as
to the true Nature of Matter and Spirit, allowing knowledge to be gained
of who we are and how to attain success at all levels, Physical, Mental
or Emotional and Spiritual.
A correct prepared Astro Chart may be likened
to "A Good Road Map of the Journey of Life", it's like a GPS.... Using a
detailed map, proper care can be taken to avoid forthcoming danger. If
the map indicates a narrow road thru mountains with sharp and risky
curves and embankments, hopefully any sane person will GO Slow, keeping
an eagle eye fixed carefully on the road and road signs, with his hands
tightly held on the Steering wheel. Similarly, when the road looks to be
wide and straight with minimal obstacles, it is possible to drive faster
and is more relaxed on the Journey. |

 WHAT
IS MANTRA
Lord Krishna said:
I am Brihatsaama among the Saama Veda's hymns.
I am Gaayatri Mantra among the Vedic Mantras. I am November -
December among the months. I am spring among the seasons. (GITA
10.35)
In Sanskrit 'MAN' means MIND and 'TRA' means
FREE.
Mantra literally means 'Instrument of
Thought'. It can be defined as a hymn, chant or verse which
possesses magical or divine power. Vedic Mantras are said to have been
divinely 'Heard' (Shrut) by the Higher Self.
Mantras are hymns, which are believed to
benefit those who chants them. They are the original constituents of the
Vedas. MANTRAS / Hymns are mostly invocations to the Gods for protection
against "Evil" or "For Assistance in Performing One's Duties or Specific
Targeted Functions".
